​Thomas D. Begley, III, has dedicated his career to advocating for individuals and families in matters of estate planning, estate administration, special needs trusts, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and probate litigation. Apart from earning both his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University, Tom has been a South Jersey resident for most of his life.
Over the last 35 years, he has built a distinguished reputation in the legal field. He is a certified elder law attorney who has frequently lectured across the country on behalf of institutions such as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Elder Law Foundation, the National Business Institute, and the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He has served as a Director for the Elder Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, as Chair of the Burlington County Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Probate Committee, and Co-Chair of annual symposiums for the Academy of Special Needs Planners.
Tom takes the time and opportunity to ensure each matter with a client is approached with compassion and care. He recognizes that no two families nor individuals are the same, and neither are their plans for the future. With that in mind, Tom has made it his personal mission to help and assist individuals, families, and their businesses, to achieve their goals of enjoying their assets during their lifetime and ensuring that inheritances which are left to their loved ones are preserved for their benefit and not subject to unnecessary taxes, creditors, and marital or other personal issues. Tom believes that planning for the future should not be an overwhelming task, but rather a way to bring peace of mind to you and your family.
Outside the practice of Law, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, Ana, and his five children. Although, if you were to ask him, his favorite people are his three grandchildren. He also enjoys playing the guitar, reading, and most importantly following the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
